These templates (except for repository_common*.tpl) list the RPM packages which are available for installation. Each has the URL of the group of packages, the names, versions, and architecture. These are needed for the SPMA-based package management. The repository_common*.tpl template contains references to all of the individual repositories and runs two "cleanup" functions afterwards. These functions, "resolve" the URLs for the packages in the package list (/software/packages) and removes the unneeded repositories from the profile. This must be the LAST thing done in a machine profile. (If you add packages after the functions are run, SPMA will not function correctly.) NOTE: These are examples for the LAL repositories. The URLs are publicly available, but not really intended for support of remote sites. In particular, no guarantee is made that packages will not disappear. NOTE: The repository templates can be generated with the SWREP commands (see Quattor installation guide) or with utilities to convert a web repository to a pan template (see util/misc part of the Quattor CVS repository). If you use the SVN-based configuration database, updates of the templates is done with the "update.rep.templates" target.
